Oh, to be sixteen again! Those years in which hormones ravish the body and deliver increase in inches of height hold great memories for most people, but not for everyone. Some people turn out very disappointed at their level of growth once those hormonal years past, but there is little that can be done about that. Or is there? The facts today are stacking up to prove that it is possible to learn how to gain height once the hormone levels have decreased.
Learning how to gain height after puberty is really a lesson in taking great care of your body. After all, if you want it to function properly and carry you through life, then you must do a few things for it in return. The basics of health are nutrition and exercise. It just so happens those are also the building blocks of increasing your height.
Even though you may have passed puberty a few years back, your body still produces some human growth hormone naturally. Your levels of secretion are just not as high as during the teen years. In fact, the older you get the less you secrete as a natural result of the aging process. This does not necessarily mean it is impossible to grow, but it does become harder to do.
The most essential elements in gaining height is to eat foods that are rich in nutrients that will help your body function (and grow!) properly, use exercises which lengthen and stretch the spine, and take a good supplement that includes vitamins and amino acids. A good combination of these things will naturally increase your odds of growing after puberty.
Of course, if you seriously wish to gain height after puberty and don’t want to take the time that these natural methods require, then you could go the route of injecting human growth hormone into your body or have surgery that makes the legs longer. The risks and side effects with these measures are steep, as well as the price tag. The natural remedies are the safer option, delivering increased health along with possibly a few extra inches.
